Gold prices have risen again in Bangladesh

The price of gold has increased again in the country’s market. The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) said in a release that this time the price of a 22-carat gold bhori has been increased by Tk 1,667 to Tk 1,74,318. The new price will be effective from Sunday (August 31).

A statement from Bajus on Saturday (August 30) night said that the new price of gold has been set considering the overall situation due to the increase in the price of pure gold in the local market.

Latest Gold Price (Effective from August 31)

  • Per Bhori (11.664 grams) 22 carat gold – 1,74,318 taka.
  • 21 carat gold – 1,64,801 taka.
  • 18 carat gold – 1,41,263 taka.
  • Traditional gold – 1,16,850 taka.

Earlier, Bajaus had set a new price on Tuesday night (August 26). At that time, the price of a 22-carat gold bar was 1,72,651 taka. However, within a few days, the price has been increased again.
